Blurtly ("the App") is a word game developed by Leadha Games. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Device Identifier: The App generates a random device identifier (UUID) stored locally on your device. This is used to identify your scores on the daily leaderboard. It is not linked to your real identity.
Game Data: The App stores your game scores, word lists, XP progress, streaks, and statistics. For solo and daily challenge modes, this data is stored locally on your device. Daily challenge scores are also uploaded to a global leaderboard using your device identifier and a display name you choose.
Optional Account Data: If you choose to sign in with Apple, we store your display name, a unique account identifier, friend code, game statistics, and XP data on our servers. This enables friend lists, async challenges, cross-device sync, and the friends leaderboard. We do not access your email unless you choose to share it through Apple Sign-In.
Multiplayer Data: When you play 1v1 live multiplayer or send async challenges, game scores and word lists are stored on our servers to enable the multiplayer experience.
Local Preferences: The App stores your theme preference (dark/light mode), sound and haptic settings, and display name on your device using local storage.
Game data is used solely to operate the game and its features. Device identifiers enable the daily leaderboard. Account data enables friend lists, challenges, and cross-device synchronization. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App.
Local game data is retained on your device until you uninstall the App. Server-side data (leaderboard scores, friend connections, challenge history) is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account and all associated server data at any time from within the App's Settings screen.
The App uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and real-time communication. Supabase processes data in accordance with their privacy policy. No other third-party services are used.
The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Guest mode requires no personal information. Sign-in with Apple is optional and managed by Apple's parental controls.
You can delete your account and all associated server data from within the App at any time (Settings → Delete Account). If you play as a guest, no personal data is stored on our servers beyond anonymous daily leaderboard scores.
